About Me

I recently retired as a NYC special needs high school teacher. Prior to teaching, I worked as an information management ops manager. Before that, I built and operated a bagel bakery in Denville, NJ after a stint as general manager of NYC’s first green department store.

Along the way, I’ve been a woodshop instructor for a sleep-away camp, a ghost writer for graduate degree candidates, a holographer, a film producer, a screenwriter, a taxi driver, a free-lance photographer, a medical arts photographer, and a microfiche production supervisor.

Academic institutions have awarded me an MFA in Film Production, and MSEd in Special Education, as well as a BA in Sociology and Photography.

Most recently, I am blogging my way across America with Leah in a 28 ft. Airstream, searching for enriching and meaningful experiences with people and places, and anything that would make a good story.
